Using a Bluetooth Printer without a Sled

In previous versions of CPMobile, you could only use a certified Bluetooth receipt printer (i.e., an Infinite Peripherals DPP-250 or DPP-350) with an iPhone or iPod Touch equipped with a CPMobile sled.

In this version, you can pair a certified Bluetooth printer with an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad directly, allowing you to print receipts from a device that does not have a CPMobile sled.

You can only pair a single CPMobile device with a single Bluetooth printer.

Follow these steps to pair a Bluetooth receipt printer with a CPMobile device directly:

  1. Make sure the Bluetooth printer is on and discoverable.
  2. From the Home screen on your CPMobile device, tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  3. If Bluetooth is OFF, tap the Bluetooth on/off switch to turn it ON.
  4. Tap the printer in the Devices list (e.g., IPC DPP-250C), and then tap Pair on the Bluetooth Pairing Request message to pair the printer with your CPMobile device.

You can now connect to the printer in CPMobile, or you can wait until you print a receipt in Point of Sale.

If your iPhone or iPod Touch is equipped with a CPMobile sled, you can still pair with a Bluetooth receipt printer directly. However, you will only be able to print to that Bluetooth printer; do not use the Scan for printers button on the Printers screen to configure additional Bluetooth printers.
